Got part of a message (they called twice) that said "...a financial transaction which is now under investigation. This call has been made so we can hear your side of the story. They called me twice and left a vmail saying my credit card and social security number was linked to something and there was an investigation. Sounds exactly like all the other scam artist phone calls that i ignored over the years and guess what ? No investigation ! What a shock ! These people are a joke.
I received that same message from the same number. Saying that my "social and debit card number were linked to a transaction that was now under investigation." It was only a partial message as well.
I got a call in fact, calls being made from that number for the 5th time. Same thing, social security and checking account linked to a illegal transaction. I pressed one and then told the girl that I would be recording the call and she stated she wasn't afraid of me. I said, well I am definitely not afraid of you. She started telling me that there was a case filed against me. It was regarding a check I had written. I said well that's funny, I don't use my checking account and haven't for years. I pay all bills online through my bank. If there are issues I will contact my bank. She hung up...
