just recieved a call as well, she spoke with my husband and called his job looking for me!!! Though she said her name is Julia Steele. Claiming that i took out a cash advance in 2013 in october. i have been getting a slew of phone calls like that and seriously it is pissing me off.
Hi Lindsey. I also received a call from this number and she said her name was Kate McDoogal (SP?). I do not buy this and she also called me from 855-276-5681 which if you type that # in, everyone said it is a scam. Please do not give anyone any information. Look up the fair debt collections act and they have to follow that. Which Kate knows nothing about becaue she is not who she says she is.They cannot send you to court. You have 30- days to dispute a debt NO MATTER WHAT. I spoke with my lawyer and he is handling this now. I do not care how nice she is, please do the research. You need a claim number to your case, actual contract, etc before you do anything else. Hope this helps. What dis they say to you? Good luck.
I got the same call from the same name and same number and she stated that i owed a 400 dollar loan that was done online and that was back in 2012 she stated to me my email address and i have no idea how she got that unless she was phising for it i was also told that it was fraud and that i was going to be criminally prosecuted to the full extend of the law. i try to call her back and it goes to vm all the time she never returns the call told me i was going to be facing fraud charges and i have to admit it scared me until i read this now im pissed and mad all in one and looking to comeback in a way that scares them.

Just got the same call from a Julia Steele on both my cell & home number which isn't listed or given out to anyone...crock of crap...don't respond to these people. She says they are calling from a company called NCR with a file number to call back or to have a legal rep call to talk to them. No mention as to why they are calling. Considering the fact I don't owe anyone money is a mystery why she would be calling me. They are trying to scare you into paying money you don't owe. Thankfully, I have no issues calling the state attorney general's office to report these clowns anytime I get a call like this. Oh & I let the calling fools know I've reported them.
