I got a call last week from this number claiming that I would have two felony counts for fraud for a payday loan from four years ago. I did have a payday loan but I paid it. Inspector Jones said that he had looked into my background and saw that I didn't have any other issues. He told me that I would have to waive my rights in order for him to explan why he was calling. He said that I needed to Money gram him 566 dollars in order to not have this filed with the state. I totally freaked out. I told him that I would money gram from Ace which is where my payday loan was originally done. He told me no, Walmart would be where I needed to do this from and that he would give me all the information when I got there. Before I hung up and told him I would take care of it in a few hours. Now my gut was screaming something was totally not right with this call. So I went to Ace check cashing and spoke to them and they said that my loan was showing paid in full. Do not give these people money. It is a scam. I am so glad I did not go with my first reaction and trusted my gut otherwise I would be out 566.00.
This is a collection agency trying to act like a law enforcement agency. They use phrases like "person of interest" and other things to scare people. Don't let them bully you.

this is the stupidest scam ever! saying they are yahoo tech support but yet they cant even speak english. They ask to control your computer and act like they are trying to recover your yahoo account password telling you that your account has been hacked, but infact they are trying to get into your computer.
I could not get into my yahoo email and that is the number they transfered me to. They wanted to charge me 79 dollars to delete my email account and put saftey measures on it. I could not understand anything he was saying.
