This happened to me today, it scares me because they had my entire social except the last 4. Of course I didn't give it to them. I am in the process of cleaning up my credit to build a home and this shook me to the core. I am happy to see its a scam. Thanks.
I received a telephone call about a civil process and I will be served a summons on tomorrow. She would not tell me what it was in reference to you. She left another telephone number and case file to return.
Contact your state attorney general office. I have already done it . Got another call today this women actually gave me an address of 2885 Sanford ave ste 30973 grandville mo 49418 for the location .
I was one of those unfortunate people that fell for it the 1st time around. They took $1600 from my account within hours. Now I must be on the list to keep calling!! Typically they call before a holiday so that banks will be closed and I can't report stolen or fraudulent charges. These people trained to scare tactics. Do not give them any information. Tell them you will be able to get the papers when they threaten to serve you. They typically hang up. It is just annoying and frustrating more than anything.
I had this number and others similiar to it start to call me recently. They are not even asking for me, they are asking for a kathy or something, I am male. Anywho, I have just been blocking the numbers on my phone and that has slowed the calls as they got pretty frequent but I would get calls from differant numbers. I even called one back and told them I'm not kathy and to quit calling. The very next day I recieved another call from them. I answer and instantly ask for a manager. I wait a couple minutes and then someone else gets on the phone and I immediatley ask them "why in the f*ck they are calling me" the guy says I don't have to speak to him that way and I told him "my f*cking phone, I'll speak however I want". We go back and fourth for a minute and I tell him again I'm not kathy they have no reason to call me, cuss him out some more to the point where he freaks out yells at me and hangs up. Very amusing. That was in November and I had bot heard from them til this past week. I get a call and immediatly answer "what's up m*therf*cker!". The guy on the other end asks if I'm done and I ask him what he means. He says "is that a way to answer the phone and I tell him " my phone, I'll answer it how ever the f*ck I want to" he was not amused as I was and could tell it wouldn't be a great conversation and hung up. So I have just gone between blocking numbers and berrating the callers for my own amusement and it has made these guys calls less stressful. There should ve some kind of agency that shuts guys like these down but until there is, these d*cks are going to get an earful from the ole' fake debt collector avenger!
