This just happened to me. I feel so stupid. Exactly what happened to Kristy. DO NOT trust him. I'm a college kid, I don't have much money to begin with, and he took advantage of me.
This guy is trying to get my daughter to cash a check for him and pay his bills with the money. He claims to be out of town and needs someone to watch his kids and cash this check. I am obtaining information from him directly to report to fcc
This guy posted an add on a San Francisco CraigsList page asking for a nanny. Free room and board and 400 a week. Seemed too good to be true and asked a friend to research him. Nothing came up. He said he needed help, that his wife was in rehab for drugs and alcohol. He wanted to send me a check to cash for his housekeeper and my first weeks pay. He asked for pictures of me and even sent me pictures of him and his 2 kids. I'm disgusted!! What an evil person. STAY AWAY! 2 weeks was only via email, today he started texting me, that is how I found this page.
This exact scam happened to my daughter, same story, same details. We received the fraudulent chk and contacted the FBI. He is a disgusting person, and I hope he is caught.
