This guy told me the exact same thing abut his wife etc. RUN AWAY! I am also a recent college grad in need of extra cash. He totally manipulated me. Now my account may be compromised even though I caught on and reported it to the FBI
I JUST got an email from a so called John McMaster, so decided to do some research and found this! I'm glad I did I seemed super fishy and it is! And I live in az, I don't ever think I even emailed this guy about baby sitting. Thanks for the help Guys!!
It's Mari again, he also told me that exact same story about his wife being in rehab for drug and alcohol. And they are out of town in organ visiting parants blah blah blah. ...... Horrible!
This scammer has stolen checking account numbers and is printing up fake checks and paying unsuspecting people for services and then asking to share half the money. If you receive a call and the caller says the check will be coming from his brother's company, it is a scam. The scammer is in one state. The check has the name of a company in another state. The company on the check is real. The account number is real. But the check is itself is fake and it is a scam. Don't do business with strangers on craigslist. Also, if you do get a check in the mail and are suspicious, google the company on the check and call them.
