Received call 20 minutes ago ; caller ID shows it with tel # preceded by IMPORTANT; second call this week;didn't answer call;no message left after my voice message kicked in.
The caller ID says, IMPORTANT. Themessage left was a guy stating he is Chris McFadden (Don't know if I am spelling this right). The detail message was to vote next Tuesday for him (I am assuming November 30th). Stating use an absentee ballot, and mail off ASAP to be counted before the voting period is over with. So I am assuming all the messages I've read on this post are all coming from the same number, but with different messages. 701-509-8565 is the number that called my phone, which is private number, and told by the phone company haven't been in circulation in over 10 years. So how in the hell they get my private number?
Have gotten 3 unwanted calls from this number in 1 week - caller ID said "Important" - I did not answer, but when I tried to call back I got "all circuits are busy".
Same thing, 5 calls in 5 days... CID: IMPORTANT. 1 cent SPLOST Survey about the upcoming referendum. Called back, got all circuits busy, then tried again and got recording "press 1 to be removed from the list, may take 72 hours"
Keep calling, no messages. Tried to return call (haven't been home for any of these), but got same message as "Teeny" above: "press 1 if you would like to be removed from receiving important marketing calls in the future; your request may take 72 hours". Live in suburb of Atlanta, GA, and if this is about a 1 cent sales tax, they are going about it all wrong...
This and another from a Cleveland, OH number are about to be reported.
