Asked about which credit cards we take (in detail). Then our hours of operation. I asked where she was calling from but couldn't get a straight answer. She said Toronto and I said no, you're calling from the States.
got a call from a person asking for my business hours. I told him then he asked if we take visa/mastercard. I said yes and asked his name. It was David. He said he was calling from Toronto. I said hello David from Toronto what can I help you with. He said he was just getting information and needed to go. Sounded like a call center but the caller had an East Indian accent.
got a call asking about my business hours and whether we took credit cards. it sounded fishy so I asked who was calling and they asked for hours and credit cards again - then after I asked again they hung up.
Yes, this sounds like a phishing trip for information relating to your business. Don't be surprised if these lowlifes start calling people pretending to be your company; now they know your hours and what credit cards you accept. Beware.
