People hire them to for telephone surveys. They were quite professional, I have no reason to believe they are crooked. They didn't ask any personal questions, just opinions. Didn't ask for money or compensation of any kind.
It's almost 9 PM at night and I just got a call from this number I answered it because I thought it was someone interested and off thing I have for sale online the first thing he said is this is not a sales phone call or anything like that I'm just looking for information something with North Dakota and all this random crap morning oh pinions and stuff for a survey of some sort I told him do not call me again or I will call her please and have them charge with her [***] meant
Called me under the guise of a political survey; asked who I planned to vote for etc. Then read asked if I'd heard of ND Measure 4 (tobacco tax) and how I was going to vote, read a bunch of misleading statements about measure for asking if I agree or disagree with each of them, and then periodically asked if "knowing what I know now" if I'd still support Measure 4.
The call was masking as a survey but was really political advertising. I wish I had recorded it; I'm not 100% sure that's legal.
Called two times. I did not answer the calls. I never answer calls from numbers I do not recognize. As numerous others have stated, they do not leave a message, and they call day and night, totally in violation of the letter and spirit of the NO CALL law. They need to be blacked by the FCC.
