Unfortunately if you do ANY business whatsoever with Comcast, somewhere in the fine print, they are allowed to contact you regardless of dnc list. Dnc lists only apply to companies that you have absolutely no dealings with otherwise.
An automated system dials thousands of numbers and wait to get an answer if there's no answer it hangs up if you answer your then filed into an active phone number list this way when the telemarkers call They know that there is a live person there And it is not a dead number this would save a "Boiler room" A lot of time and money. Sadly I was a telemarketer years ago when it was illegal if we had the ability to do this it makes a lot of sense to do it financially Just don't pick up anything that looks weird if there's no message check it out online if it's a bogus number put it on the block List on your phone or give it its own special ring tone so you know not to pick it up
