They call from a busy call center (you can hear everyone in the background talking) asking to update information on your business and then go into this sales pitch about boosting your website ranking. I think she said the company name was Web X or Index very difficult to understand.
They called me once and I hung up after they didnt say anything, then they immediately called back and said they were from Google and my business would be on the "front page of google". I heard them out and they told me all I had to do was make a small payment of $1. I spoke with a women then got transferred to her "supervisor" once I said that I was not interested the man got very rude and called me names so I hung up again, and they called me back but I didnt answer and have blocked the number.
Chelsea with Web X called and said "My name is Chelsea. I take it I am talking to the business owner"? I asked what the call was concerning. She said she was updating our company information and started rolling out information. I stopped her mid-sentence to tell her NO.
These people woke me up and kept calling. I think they got my number off Craigslist because this is a new cell number and I put my business ads on Craig's. It's now blocked!
Call form a very noisy room with lots of people talking in background. All people have very thick India accents. Difficult to understand. Clain they are calling on behalf of Webex. Claim that can get you on the front page of Google. It is a marketing scam big time.
