I have a panasonic, you have to look thru manual, but the commands for mine are menu #217, can block up to 30 numbers and menu #240 blocks all calls that do not display a phone number.
On DNC list; so, doubtful they should even be calling our #. Caller ID shows as "Private Name"--which means (to us) "we're unavailable to take their calls when we don't recognize their #"! Since other individuals using this (800notes) site are receiving a variety of info. on their caller IDs, makes one think they're possibly not legitimate telemarketers? Caller does not leave message on answering machine; so, they either must not be too interested if they're doing surveys and/or they don't want their messages to be recorded?! for violating DNC list, etc. etc.
File a complaint with the FTC. You can do it on line. Give them dates and times this number calls. And if you have asked this number to quit calling and they keep calling then for sure I would file a complaint. We received one call and now we are blocking the number.
This number called me and no one was there or didn't say anything. The Do Not Call List does not work. Maybe it is Big Brother (gov) or the do not call list themselves?
I have been receiving calls from this number as well. By habit, I never answer the phone unless someone leaves a message or I recognize the caller. On one occasion the man did say, "hello, hello," on my answering machine -- like he picked up after my message finished and thought he had someone on the line. I have a very shrill whistle that I think I will be using in the future - just to see if that works as a deterrent. It's a shame that innocent people end up having their privacy invaded in such a fashion, and those annoying callers get away with it. THERE SHOULD BE SOME FORM OF LEGISLATION TO PROTECT US.
Got the same call. She asked if I was a senior? I said I was 58.
She asks for personal health information--Do you take advice? Are you physically active? Do you have neuropathy? Do you have bladder issues? I wanted to know why she was calling. She said she wanted to take a survey on American Senior Health. Then she asked if I had Medicare. I said I was 58--
I don't think she could hear me over the noise in the background. I told her I'm not a senior and Good-Bye.
