I had thought that maybe in the aftermath of the Tucson shooting Saturday, they might not have the nerve to continue soliciting support their misguided missive - that they'd at least take a respectful break from the relentless pursuit of such absurdity.
they called me too saying they were asking for me by name and I didn't say it was me. I asked who it was they tell me the national rifle [***]. and want me to listen to a message and then answer a few q's about it. This is new for me and damm it I'm on the do not call list so why do they ahve to call? I don't even own a gun. I have thought about it but I have kids and don't want anything bad to happen to them.
They have been calling and I finally answered. They didn't want to talk to me, only my husband! So not only are they annoying, they are sexist too! My husband will now conveniently 'not' be home every time they call!
I "star-69'd" a couple of these calls that came from 703-291-9005. The caller only wishes to speak to my husband. Says, "no message, we'll call back another time" and hangs right up. I finally googled the number today and came across more than one helpful place telling me this is the NRA. I didn't call back this number, but used a 1-800 number I found posted here and asked to be removed from the call list. That seemed to be no problem. We'll see.
