I had thought that maybe in the aftermath of the Tucson shooting Saturday, they might not have the nerve to continue soliciting support their misguided missive - that they'd at least take a respectful break from the relentless pursuit of such absurdity.
Called my home asked to speak with Mr. ________, said there is no Mr....they apologized I asked them to give me the 1st name of the person they wanted, they said they didn't know it...lovely, the Mr. in this family died in 1967, someone really needs to update their records...
I got several calls and then found how to stop them, perhaps. Call the number, 703-291-9005, Press 1. let the recording play and finally it will offer that if you do not want to receive future calls press 3. After pressing 3 it will ask for the 10 digit phone number that you want removed. Press in your 10 digit number and wait. An automated voice will repeat the number you enterted and ask you to verify that it is correct by pressing 1. After you have pressed 1 to verify, a recording will tell you that Federal law allows 30 days to remove your number but they will try to have it removed in a couple of days. The NRA apparently has an automated dialing system running with no associated recorded message. Talk about a bunch of nitwits. Guess they are too busy out shooting their guns to monitor their automated calling system.
We've been getting these calls. Caller ID says NRA. I picked up once and had a very poor English speaking woman who was quite rude. When i pointed out that we were on the Do Not call list, said" well there must be an exception for them" . Ummm...NO !! Do Not call... means Do Not Call !!!
