I just received a call today (on my answering machine). Said it was the Fraud Department of the IRS and that there was tax fraud against my name, and call soon to avoid a warrant for my arrest.
The call was on my answering machine. The connection was very poor and I had difficulty understanding him. The call came in today, June 1, 2015 at 2:24 pm. I finally understood the name Jason and IRS. He indicated that if I did not call back the Sheriff could come and arrest me. I did call the number back - a woman answered with a recorded message to leave my number. I just hung up. I'm glad to know it is a scam, it did concern me.
I never pick up when I don't recognize numbers. I only answer with my call zapper on my cell. Might as well have some fun with these annoying people.
So I put on the flushing toilet sound or put a vacuum cleaner sound on or just a out of order or fax tone. Hilarious.
Got a call from mark Robinson wanted to kno if I had a criminal attorney to represent me in court within an hour. He insisted that the IRS had filed a lawsuit against me and he needed my cell phone number to resolve the money issue on the IRS fraud I had committed. He was gonna call my cell number to give me instructions on how to complete my transaction. Only if I gave my cell number, and if I disconnected the call I would be arrested within 45mins to an hour. So he said he would have law enforcement at my address within 15 mins. I told him good I'd have a deputy waiting here and he hung up on me.
