Phone number is still dialing people. Now it's just silence, followed by an automated voice that says Goodbye. It's even more annoying that the call came in before 6 am.
Indian man (sounded like his name was Ram Neeservis) said "the nature of my voice mail is to inform you that there is a legal petition noticed against your name for tax fraud & tax evasion, so before this matter goes to the Federal Claim Courthouse and before you get arrested, kindly call us back on the number (703)542-1704." He was very insistent that I call him back before I get arrested, and repeated the phone number again. Then he ended with "If you want to know more, please do call us back. Do not disregard this message. Thank you."
same thing happen to me. No name just the same message about owing taxes and
I would be arrested. So i should call the same 703 number.
I would like to give this number to the
FBI.
Got a message on my home phone asking me to call 703-542-1704. I couldn’t understand first part (super heavy accent) but he said I needed to call them back to avoid arrest. I figured it was a scam.
Yes, I just received the same scam message. I wonder how they can make their call appear on my caller id as the IRS phone number 800 829-1040, but they tell me to call back to 703-542-1704 "before I get arrested." I blocked my caller id info with *67 and called the number. It rang, sounded like it connected, but no one answered the line and then it disconnected. I was going to tell them I was from the FBI and would arrest them in 24 hours just for fun, but oh well. Be careful people, there are bad people in the world.
Yes, I got this call too. And there was another number associated with it. 800-829-1040. The message said to call them before I got arrested. Right.....I called my cell carrier and they called the number and got the repeating busy signal, as in it's not a real number.
