Received several hang ups from this number and when I finally did answer it was a woman claiming to be from IRS and wanting to know my case number. She said I needed a criminal lawyer for tax evasion because the sheriff was on his way to arrest me. When I asked when I supposedly evaded taxes she said from 2007-2014. I work for a CPA firm and know that if there really was an investigation I would have met the IRS auditor doing the audit on my personal taxes. It's a scam.
Received multiple calls from 703-592-9700 claiming we owe money to the irs. Threatening to arrest me and that if we didn't call back and pay the only thing they can do for me is wish me luck.
Big scam, and scary for my young child to hear the threat of us being arrested.
