This # is TOTALLY fraudulent!! On caller I it shows the actual IRS # but message instucts you to call above 703 area code (VA) Having worked in the CPA field I know THIS IS NOT HOW THE IRS OPERATES!! I called the # back and a MAN WITH A INDIA ACCENT ANSWERED & IMMEDIATLEY REQUESTED INFO. WHICH I THEN TOLD HIM I KNEW HE WAS A FRAUD ASKED FOR HIS IRS OPERATOR # (which they all go by) and once BEING BUSTED...CUSED ME OUT!! Bad BAD bad. WARN your elderly FAMILY about this SCAM!!

I just got a robo-call from a guy with an Indian accent who claimed he was from the IRS.  He threatened me with arrest for tax fraud unless I called him back at 703-665-1141.  I reported it to the Federal Trade Commission at: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1.
Also reported it to the IRS (see: [email protected]) by forwarding the text/voice mail message as-is to the Internal Revenue Service at: 202-552-1226.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
