Being registered on the do not call list does not BLOCK someone from calling your number, but it may make it illegal. You're right that survey & political calls are exempt from most of the law's restrictions. Still, if you tell the caller that you want to be put on the company's internal do not call list and want no more calls, that trumps the exemption. The problem is that most of the telemarketers hang up before you can complete the sentence. Give it a try. Most legitimate companies don't want to waste their time or resources calling people that don't want to be called.
The call is nothing more than a brief, four question voter survey on pro-life issues. There is no request for a donation or anything else. If you do not desire to participate, call 703-740-8621 and leave your number. We will take you off the list.
