He/she/them could be arrested simply for posing as IRS, not to mention obviously scamming for personal info or credit card info etc, which then would lead to stealing money, not to mention if your on do not call list, etc etc
Problem is, these scammers don't get caught YET. Now that Obama has organized a watch team if you will, for cyber criminals, wouldn't it be great if another government group put a stop to these losers. I'm not joking, I have a phone that blocks 250 phone numbers and I just got the phone in January and it won't be long until I have to delete some for the new calls to be blocked. I get numerous calls almost daily, if I go a day without a scammer I actually notice. Sad
This is why phone companies and any other means of buying temp numbers or any equipment to spoof phone calls should be illegal and pulled from the market. I'm ignorant how it's done but I refuse to believe in this day and age in USA we can't do this!
Reporting hasn't done a thing. I've reported calls, they are still calling THREE years later and regularly. I'm certainly not suggesting reporting shouldn't be done but I think all would agree...when will help come with these scammers. I've had someone threaten rape to me on the phone, called police, called my phone company, did a complaint online with FCC, nothing stops these scummy people. I was told there's nothing they can do and local police told me to file a complaint online.
I keep receiving calls from this number. At first I ignored the calls, but they kept coming. I decided to answer the last two and when I do they just hang up. I wanted to leave a message for them to quit calling me, but their mailbox is full. I have blocked this number several times and don't know how it keeps getting through. I don't understand why they call just to hang up.
