Richard Parker said he was a police officer with the IRS and that I needed a criminal attorney for my taxes. They knew my name and address. When I asked questions, he gave me his supervisor, Christine Johnson. Both had Indian accents. When I questioned her for details, she hung up on me. I called our local police and they said it was a scam.
Classic IRS scam. "Officer Richard Parker" from the "Legal Department of the Internal Revenue Services". Heavy accent. Large amount of background noise. Something about a legal petition notice, registration with federal court, blah, blah, blah. Very hard to understand what he was saying. Definite scam.
Call comes up as 800-829-1040. Then recorded message that there is a suit filed and under criminal investigation by the IRS. Also leaves a message but the number is 703-828-0428 by "Officer Pete Stone" from the IRS legal department that a petition has been filed for tax evasion. Indian accent. Lots of background noise.
The same number called me 6 times in one day 800-829-1040. Left the same recorded message about tax envision and saying I was facing prison time.703-828-0428. Its a total scam.
