My wife got the call about an "urgent legal matter" that needed to be cleared up as soon as possible. From Alan Smith with badge number H7997025. Heavy accent of some kind. Tried calling the number back, but either failed to connect or got a busy signal. I was going to play games with Mr. Smith, but never got the chance. Perhaps I'll try again tomorrow. Now that the tables can be reversed, it might be fun to dish it out to Mr. Smith.
Fake IRS agent trying to collect. Too bad for them I already filed and got my return. I don't think someone named Mr Smith with a badge number should have problems speaking English...
IRS agent with badge number saying to call this number because of a tax evasion and willful fraud lawsuit against our name, but our voice mail doesn't have our name and he never said our name. Indian accent.
SCAM SCAM SCAM. It has been reported on TV and in the newspapers all over the country. If you had any problems with the IRS you would have received numerous letters that you would have to have ignored before any legal action is taken and that does not include arrest. Report the call here:
