Voice mail message from a blocked call telling me that "documents will be served" at my "place of employment" is I or my attorney do not call 866-262-6531.
I received a call from this number on my cell phone, didn't recognize the number and didn't answer. It left a voive mail which was partially distorted but I was able to hear that they were threatening to file "legal documents" unless I or my attorney called back at 1-888-856-2847.
The name given was something along the lines of Cummings or like that.They DID NOT use my name or any identifying info. I have no doubt this is a scam trying to extort money and btw they ain't gettin' any! lol
they are in violation of one or more parts of the Federal Debt COllections Act. You can find it in its entirety with a google search and print out your very own copy. ;-)
I just received another call from thgis jerk. Still doesn't know my name! ;-) Have heard anything since my last post back in Oct 25. I guess he has a robot caller.
I get about 3 phone calls a day from this guy. And it's the same name as what Rich said above, Mr. Cummings. He gave me a different # to call back at though 866-514-4583. His voicemails are clear and he threatens to have me served with legal documents at either my home or place of work if I do not call him back or have my attorney call him back. He never uses my name or any info as to what i'm supposed to call him back for. I don't plan on calling him back because i'm 99% sure it's spam but i'm getting tired of the calls. He says he's from a company called the ETA Group as well. If you don't know my name then stop calling me!!
Scam He said I scheduled to pay a bill on the 5th of dec for a payday loan, I said I do not remember that I only remember I do not do payday loans so he just said have a good day I said I will have a good day reporting you.
