Called me today from Global services- Said they are collecting a debt- threatened to serve me at my job or home-left all of this on voicemail (i saved it) they used to call me from a Florida number, Now they are calling from a local number to my state. The old company would say I owed a pay day loan. referencing my address from 12 years ago. I never have had a pay day loan and if I did twelve years would be beyond the collection limits in NJ...
The real reason they won't give an address is because they don't want law enforcement to easily find them. That's also the reason they won't go to court; they can't sue without giving their court - and the defendant - their business information.
It gets a bit more complicated than that William. They'd have to retain an attorney in the state where the supposed debtor resides to file a supposed suit. They can't do that because they're basically bi-pedal, twice used trash bags walking around with the expected stench & lacking the funds to bail themselves out of jail for public urination.
Such is life in the "fast lane" of bogus debt collectors.
Live Well.

They called back earlier, and I informed them that California has a statute of limitations of four years for all debts and these scumbags tried to pass me off to a "manger" for a even smaller "settlement" These clowns. Next time they call I will give them the number to the CA attorney general and tell them that's my best contact number!
They call from spoofed numbers so they appear to come from your local area. PLEASE PLEASE file a complaint with the Miami Attorney General. I have. The lady I talked to said they have an office in Miami, but have 48 remote locations in the US. This is a debt collection scam. When they threatened me with legal action, I asked the woman to deliver the papers herself.
Tell them you have opened a complaint with the FTC and the Attorney General, and that under federal law they have to send you a written letter telling you what the debt is, the amount, and who the original creditor is.
