Does anybody know who this is? I suspect it is the Breast Cancer Foundation, a phony charity that has been harassing the daylights out of me on my landline. Now they found my cell phone number. They called before 9:00 this morning when I don't answer at any other times. My God, they don't give up! They are worse than the Medic Alert scam!
My cell phone shows a missed called from this number, location Stony Point, NC (near Hickory). No message left. As I do with all these calls, I hit the information button to the right of the number, scroll down to the bottom of the page and press "BLOCK THIS CALLER". Done
A charity canvasser purporting to represent an unspecified breast cancer charity. Personally I have several problems with this call. Why would I ever give money to a business that is paid to canvas for charities? (1) I would guess much of whatever I choose to donate (if not all) just lines the pockets of the paid canvasser. (2) Why would I ever give $ to anyone who calls me on my phone soliciting? When I choose to donate to a charity, I make sure they are legit, and I also make sure that the preponderance of the donation is actually going to be spent on their stated charitable cause. I wish the DNC law had never exempted charities and charity canvassers.
I have gotten several calls coming from 704-251-8788 on my cell phone and not knowing who was calling I let the call ring through to voice mail. No message was left for a return call. After reading the above comments of others I am happy I did this because I use to get a good number of these calls on my land line ... now they have found my cell phone ... most likely from robo calling.
Hopefully, in the near term, robo calling will be outlawed.
