This number called my mom. My mom said it was an Indian woman and when she heard my mom had an iPad she hung up. Not good. Praying on seniors this way.
I just got the same call....heavy accent and he said his name was Brad Cooper and that he was calling from Windows from Texas and he wanted me to type this and that into my computer. I wrote down everything he said and he finally said can you tell me what it says in the box that comes up? and I replied...no because I am not using my computer. I am writing down all you said so I can report to Windows what you are telling me to type into my computer. With his heavy accent there is no way his name was true. I told him if my computer had viruses I would take it into the shop to be repaired. I believe if I typed all he wanted me to he would have access to my whole computer. These people need to be taught a serious lesson. Don't F....with me.
I just got this call. Same thing as others have said. Indian accent calling from the technical department and they were checking error messages that were coming from my computer. He told me various keys to push. I have had this same call before so I just pretended that I was doing what he said. He asked what I see and I said that I didn't see anything. He told me to do something else and still I didn't see anything. He said that I should check into the nearest hospital and get my eyes checked. Idiot.
