Man with accent called twice each for two employees at a different location. He claimed to want to either send a white paper or introduce his company. I sent him to Purchasing three times and slammed down the receiver on the fourth. Immediately following, the phone rang with no number showing. Experience has taught me that these people eventually realize they're appearing on Caller ID and block the phone. Sure enough, man with accent requested a third individual at the same facility as the others, only now, he alleged to be from a hospital. Trying a different tack, I asked whether this was a personal call, and he hung up.

I got a call from this number from a man with an accent, he asked for me by name and then hung up when I confirmed I was who he was asking for. I could hear a lot of other calls taking place in the background. Not sure why he'd hang up if he got who he was looking for, but he did.
When they don't hang up and are trying to sell me something or want to mail me something, I tell them I work with either the Attorney General's office or the State Police or some other threatening entity and that I'd have to transfer them, they usually hang right up. Instead of getting mad, have a little fun with them!
Man with accent called my direct line at work. I answered with, "Hi, this is Lisa, how can I help you?". I only said my first name. Man said, "Is this Lisa Smith?" He referred to me by first and last name. I said, "yes, this is she". He hung up. Called me again, this time I said "hello" and he hung up! I called the phone # as it appeared on my caller ID (704) 372-8180 and automated operator/answering machine answered saying the phone number dialed is disconnected, I can connect you with a similar company at no charge: Empire Today ; Mose ; Floor Coverings International ; Joyce's Hardwood Floor
Man with a heavy accent continues to call our call center since last week asking for different employees and claims to be from USPS, doctors, and different names. It seems they are trying to commit unemployment fraud. i would advise you, not divulge any information with them.
Same things as everybody's saying. Guy said his name was one thing to my coworker, then later, I asked who it was and he said Mike. Sounded like he was in a call center. As soon as I said who I was, he hung up.
