Robo call about a vacation package. I pushed 1 just to talk to someone (my objective is to waste as much time of theirs as I can). A guy came on and asked if I was between the ages of 30 and 70 and I said yes. The he asked if I had a working debit or credit card and I said yes. He said he would transfer me to a “specialist”. Shawn came on the line and asked the same questions and talked about how fantastic the vacation would be I let him go on for a few minutes and then said that I had only one concern which was that I bet you cannot give me a telephone number of the company that you work for. He said he would as soon as we finish the paper work. I said yes the trouble is that you are not allowed to give out telephone numbers. I said Shawn, you need to ask yourself what kind of people that you are working for that do not want potential customers to have their telephone numbers. He said there is a good reason for that and I said I bet there is. He said this phone call is over and hung up on me. I’m happy that I kept them busy for 4 minutes.
