Respect people's privacy and treat others how you want to be treated. If someone asks to not be called, don't call them. If someone says they are not going to pay, quit asking. Lastly, if you don't like what you're hearing, don't just hang up on the person.. since you know you'll eventually call them back. Kindly say "good bye" and honor your CUSTOMER'S request.
Solace Financial really needs to invest in customer service classes for their "customer service" reps, they are not as educated or well-mannered as they should be. Especially when they're attempting to collect $$$$.
They have a piss poor research team that does not know how to verify names vs address. So if you have a last name similar name you will be blasted with calls from the morons until they sell the account. I have called them 3 times to tell them we don't know the person they are calling for, then they get rude and start to call you a lair.

SOLACE FINANCIAL LLC FROM CHARLOTE CONTINUES TO CALL ME AND ARE EXTREMELY RUDE, ESPECIALLY AN AFRICAN AMERICAN GENTLEMAN WHO WONT GIVE ME HIS NAME. HE IS VERY INTIMIDATING AND USES PROPHANE LANGUAGE WHEN ASKING FOR THE PERSON HE WANTS TO COLLECT MONEY FROM, WHICH BY THE WAY IS NOT ME.
THEY NEED TO STOP.............BUT OF COURSE, WHERE ARE THE AUTHORITIES WHEN YOU NEED THEM............EM
Just log everything they say, when they say it, and get the name id/operator/agent number of who is on the phone with you.
If you want to simply report them to FTC.
Or.. do as I did. Call back, get a manager, and lay out exactly what was said and when and by who. Demand that the mistreatment stop and go from there. At this point, with everything logged, you got the by the balls. If they cross you one more time, simply report it to the FTC.
They are not allowed to be threatening. They are not allowed to mistreat you (eg call you a liar which also happened to me). They are not allowed to miss-represent facts in any way shape or form.
Keep in mind a few things though. These people work for a company that was most likely wronged in some way. This company is trying to get money they are owed. These collectors are often only paid if they collect. They are also human, and are mistreated by the people they are calling on a daily basis. They (the collectors) often receive very real threats from the people they are calling... and they are just doing their job. Sometimes... they get overwhelmed. You are allowed to say anything you want to them, but they can't get angry back. It' tough to keep your cool day in and day out.
CNN actually ran an article this year confession of a debt collector or something like that. Really eye opening. But, like nearly every commission based industry, they typically only care about one thing... the close. They are calling me because I had a second on a house I lost in a foreclosure with BOfA. Sure my taxes are the only reason BofA is still in business.. but whatever. One more company on my list of companies to NEVER do business with again.

Solace called me cuz the 2nd loan on the house i short sold with BofA and they told me they will go for a court order to garnish my wages. And the settlement amount is too high to afford. please kindly share.
