I don't answer unknown callers. If I receive a second call I can push a few buttons on my phone (Panasonic) and if they call again it rings once and the phone shuts down the call - love it. The vast majority stop calling after one or two more tries before the roboputer stops. I can store up to 250 spam numbers. Had the phone 3 years and am happy winning against the spamholes.
I have just moved and received a new number in NC and this number has called a couple of times, I don't answer any calls that I do not recognize and have signed up with a free blocking service and it is being blocked. However, I am still continuing to file complaints with donotcall in the hope that someday something will be done to permanently curtail these types of callers. No true caller id displayed, both times there were variations of the number that Ben posted.
Calls here every day and I don't answer and never will so they are wasting their time.
It's a Charlotte, NC, number. I'm in Raleigh.
"Charities" that solicit by phone are often not 100% legitimate. The solicitors get more of our money than the charity if the charity is actually real.
These callers ignore the Do Not Call Registry.
I also got call. Caller ID said "Charlotte, NC". Got this call a couple of times already. No message left. If they were legit and wanted me they would have left a message. Guess it is time to block it.
