I just received an in-state call from a 805-697-1823 which I thought was a local business or associate of mines only to find out the voice message was:
this is to complete a service of process for you to appear in court before Judge. So at this point of time it is your legal right to contact the plaintiff prior to your order being submitted over to the
county they can be reached at 7048860994. Failure to comply can result in a dispatch of the proper authorities either at your place of employment or your place of residence but the record show that you have officially been notified. Good luck."
I called the 805 number and was told the name of the company was National Attorneys Association, however when I called the 704 number it was answered the same way only when I pushed the person to tell me who they were she mumbled her name but stated very clearly that she was an investigator. I asked her where was her office and instead of giving me the information she stated they do not give out that type of information. I asked her what did she mean they do not give out that type of information, if the company is legitimate then they would have no problem giving out the information. She said they are but they do not give out the information. I asked her if they were a dept collection company and she said no. I said really, and then she hung up. I had blocked my number when I called the 805 and 704 number but both numbers are related to the 704 number.
i don't usually answer unknown numbers but this number was left in a voicemail message calling from a local number here in Arizona... I wish they would stop calling me... i have received several calls in the past from different local numbers and never tried to call back... legal action?..
To all of you outhere,
DO NOT believe anything they said to you. They can do nothing about it. They will go and try whatever they can to make you fall for it. If they call you or email you, block their number and put the email in the junk folder immediately.
also, let your family know that for ANY reason they are to contact anyone or give any information without your AUTHORIZATION.
last, if they really are going to take you to court, why haven't they? because they are full of it!!!!
I work with lawyers in the past and I know for a fact that there is nothing they can do unless they have a real judgment against you, but that can only happen if they really take you to court. so I wouldn't worry about it at all. someone that will take you to court, will simply have you serve already, but wouldn't be giving you calls to let you know.
