First he called and said he was an attorney. Then he asked to speak to the person who is in charge of patient billing. Then he wanted to know if she also handles payroll. I'm not sure what he was trying to sell, and it seems like he wasn't sure either. When I called back to the number later the outgoing message identified the company as Clear Creek.
Answered the phone with our business name (we have a home office)...said he was looking for a business with our name in Clear Creek, Indiana. I told him that wasn't us and that we were in NM. He then said he was trying to get hold of this company in order to clear up an overpayment we made on our taxes....right!!!!! I again told him that wasn't us and he hung up!
Identified himself as someone looking for our company. Got the state wrong though and thought he was calling NC! Said he wanted to clear up an overpayment on our taxes...sure! Told him it wasn't us and he hung up.
Pushy, calls almost daily. Told to take off list they do not. Instead they simply pass the "file" to another person in the office. Whatever that "file " is. They are selling tax services which they find in public data bases.
If a company is this hard to deal with before a working relationship you can bet they are bad news after you sign a deal.
