THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!!! They are trying to steal your money and information!!! Do not answer, do not give them any information, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY. If they were a legitimate company they would have to comply with the do-not-call list. They are not legitimate!!!
Just received a call from this number 12:42 est
I normally would not answer an unknown number but I'm dealing with my deceased fathers estate and I'm getting calls from all over the country.
The caller ID read Rhody Erin.
It was a Jamacain female, in a noisy room. She said she was from Solar Energy something and how was I today. I simply said please don't call this number again and hung up.
It will be a cold day in hell when I buy something from someone I don't know.

usually don't answer calls that i don't recognize, but i did in this case. It was a jamaican male in a loud room ( such as the other woman mentioned above) he said he was from Solar Energy. He asked for the residence of the house, i replied no one was home. he asked "are you the babysitter?" i replied yes he asked "if i was playing with the children?"
i immediately hung up.
Well, this is a new one. These solar companies recycle our numbers. If we do not answer a certain number and they will probably passed on to other people to call. They are a PITA! When are they going to stop calling! FYI, there were some cases of Jamaican scam in the past so beware guys! Do not give out any info. To me if these people call me they should already know my name, phone number and address so there is no need to give out basic info. If they tell you to confirm the info to make sure you are the right person... don't bother. Never do sales over the phone.
Got a call today. Caller ID said Unknown name. Indian Accent said they were from Solar America. They asked if I was the Head of the Household. Have been getting TONS of calls from them from numerous numbers lately and have had to block one of the numbers for harassment. since I am on the Do Not Call registry all I had to ask him is "Is this company a non-profit company?" He said Excuse me? I asked the same question, he hung up. Simple. They know they are in violation of the law and calling people on Do Not Call registries and are a for profit company or a Scam Company. They are breaking the law. Now I will go in and block this phone number too. They will have another number tomorrow.
