My caller ID showed unknown name. I picked up because I have family in area code 706 and thought it could be either of them.
Actually area codes mean nothing anymore. You can have a cell number issued in New York and move to Georgia and continue using the NY area code and cell number, so we can't be sure where these folks are located.
The recorded message said "senior citizens should listen carefully to the following message..." That's is when I hung up. The voice on the recording was female, spoke with a twang and bad grammar, I am on several do not call lists, but it does no good.
Guess I will file another complaint anyway.
A "Free" $3000 in groceries that can only be picked up at Singh's Groceries in downtown Calcutta if a person gives the scammers their credit card number so they can be ripped off. If the victim gives the scammers 2 credit card numbers they will also receive a round trip ticket to Calcutta on Air India and a one night stay at the Camel's Dung Hotel!
Continued calls from (706) 395-8443 are constant and appear on my caller ID as an Athens, GA or out of area and when I call back it tells me that this number as been discontinued, never leaving a message!
