As with Mike, caller claimed to be Microsoft agent wanting to assist me with "problems" on my computer. I told him I made no calls and will contact Microsoft to report this call and number.
This guy called me using this number (7068052057). He sounds Indian and then he told me that he works for Microsoft. He then he told me that someone attempted to get into my computer and they detected the signal. I asked some him basic questions and then he said, I will need your permission to clean up your computer. I am like, HELL NO.
I then asked him where he lives and he said - Ontario, Canada. I asked him why he called me from outside of United States. He replied that he works for Microsoft. I am like, okay and how do you get to connect to my computer from outside of US? He's like, I need to clean your computer. I said - No!
I asked for his name and he gave me to English names. When I mentioned to him that he sounds Indian and that it it strange for him to have a two English name instead of an Indian surname, he kind of giggled then continued aking me to access my computer. I am like, so what's your address in Canada and your boss' name and phone number? When I pressed him further, he hanged up.
