This number called this Saturday morning like 9 or something all the message says is Robin there two times scared me!! Who the hell is this! How do I block it?
Follow-Up - I have sent an email to the President of the GA Firefighters Association to suggest that he take a look at this website. If he does so he'll see here that he should figure out if these calls really came from them, and either STOP blind calling if it is them or go after whoever it is using their name fraudulently if it isn't.
I thnk you mean "Augusta" which is slightly southeast of Atlanta on the border of South Carolina. Area code 706 seems to include many cities north, east, west and south of Metro Atlanta. Those you mentioned and others such as Calhoun, Dalton, Columbus, and Eatonton as well.
My old phone in kitchen doesn't have caller ID so I answered ...Yes, it was from "Georgia Fire Fighters (Union, or something)" again, telling me to make sure change battery of smoke detector, etc ... And then he said he would send me something, so I said "No thank you" and hung up. Checked my other phone and found this number, with the name "Unavailable".
I got this call from other number last week and blocked that number. This is new one (but exactly same thing).
The Georgia State Firefighters Association (GSFA) does not solicit donations by phone. These callers are NOT calling on our behalf. It is a scam in our opinion.
