Have gotten two calls from this number (same person called both times). Man with a gruff voice asking for me by my first name. Told me the call was being recorded (attempt at intimidation?). Said he was soliciting pledges to support injured police officers and their families. Told him both times NO and to remove me from their calling list. No name showed on my caller ID ... only their phone number.
Received a call from this so called organization, asking for a donation via a pledge,
offering to send a pledge packet. Legit police departments never phone citizens requesting donations of any kind. If they call again, I say, have fun with them; pretend
you can't hear. Just keep repeating: hello,hello,hello............ Hah,hah. Hang up.
Thank goodness I was not at the number it called as I was on a walk about our fair city. The number did show on my caller ID but they did not leave a message. Only one letter showed on my caller ID and it was the letter (I) so much for what ever they wanted, they just hung up. That is a good thing...
