My message started with the phone number and then the same thing that "Ih8spam" reported.
" 707-327-2642. I repeat 707-327-2642 now if you don't return the call or in case if I don't hear from your attorney either the only thing what I can do is wish you a happy life as the law enforcement team of your state will be soon at your doorstep Goodbye"
Unfortunately, if these people call enough innocent people,, they will luck up upon someone who really is in debt or owes taxes and that person may panic and comply. I'm glad this site is here to help people.
Just received that call about my 2011 taxes same parties named as in the other posts on this page. Also, same exact threats, i.e., action taken to seize my bank account, an affidavit and/or a warrant would be served to me by the following day, you will be taken in to custody. A Kathleen Staith at x110 states that she represents the IRS and works for the U.S. Treasury Dept. and that her badge number is 291. She claims that your case is going before the U.S. court system (tomorrow) because you failed to respond to a letter that was sent to you weeks before stating that an audit of your 2011 tax return revealed gross miscalculations. Warning: They said my name and asked if that was me. I regrettable said yes it was me. They asked me for my zip code and I gave it to them (also regret) and then the proceeded to give me my mailing address. It was the correct address so they must have a bit of information about you before they call your number. DON'T give them anything else and tell them you do not believe they are who they say they are and hang up!
Guy called me today and said he was calling just to inform me there was an action against me and I should call 707-327-2642.
I told him to hang on while I would get a pencil but really typed the number in my computer and did a search. I found the number to be listed as a scam. I told the guy this was a scam. He lied and said no it was not and the government was coming after me and I should obey him. They want to scam money for who knows what... He sounded like he was not from the US.
Report the Calls to the real IRS here:

•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Received a voice mail telling me to return a call today or have my attorney call. If he did not here back from me or my attorney today that he wishes me a nice life. That my life would soon get worse! He would contact the local authorities and I would be arrested. I returned his call. He immediately said my full legal name. He then said his name so fast and in very poor English I could not get the name. He said he was with the US Treasury and IRS. I needed to take care of my debt right away or an arrest warrant would be issued. I asked him you said you are from the IRS. He rudely said that's what I said! !! I in return said the IRS would not be contacting me like this ! I said let me speak to your supervisor some one I can understand better! He then said " shut the f_ _ _ up now! We then got disconnected.
I received a voice message stating that they were from the US Treasury and that I should stop whatever I was doing and call immediately or else the law enforcement team of my state will be at my doorstep.I knew it was a scam, but decided to call. I called the number and gave him HELL! lol! It was the same call as Wayne Crimble received on the last post I read.
