The person (who had an Asian Indian accent) on the line asked for me by name and I inquired how he got my name and number and he stated "the state." He asked me if I had ever been on blood thinners and I told him to take me off his call list and don't call back. He hung up, but I did get another call from the same number this afternoon. I am blocking the number. The call "originates" from California. When I tried to call the number, it is disconnected.
Received a call from this number +1 202-559-7671 claiming they were from the irs saying I did not file my taxes correctly and that I owed over 3,000 dollars. And if I didn't want to go to jail that I had to pay the amount. They wanted me to send a monygram to a name they gave me. Also told me not to tell anyone about what was going on. They asked how much I had in my account, then said to take it all out any send through money gram. I almost fell for this scam.
