Unlike most of the other users here; they were not trying to scare me into paying them money. I received an email and a call stating that i was approve for a 2000 dollar loan with Cash Net USA. The first think i always check is the email address. I have yet to find a major company of any sorts that does not own their own domain. They would not use gmail for their email provider. But i continue to write them and love to get them all in a panic when i tell them i will pay the so called service fee...but instead of wiring the money i will drop it off at the Cash Net Store down the street.
Got call a few minutes ago on landline. ID "Napa, CA" We did not answer but they left a message. As with R.Regs I was asked to call this number because there was legal action against me from the treasury department. Said he was Guy Martin (in Indian/Pakistani accent). I'm pretty sure this is a SCAM as any legal action against a person has to be in writing. I'm not calling the number back to verify this. He should be prosecuted for this type of call as I'm sure it is upsetting to an older person that may not be aware of tactics like this to get personal information.
Received a call from this number - message was from a "Steve Martin" in heavy accented Indian voice stating the same as I needed to call because a matter via a magistrate (really?!) that would result in criminal action. I live in an area with many senior citizens and one could be confused and call back this number. BIG SCAM.
They even off-shore scamming now - wow it's incredible. I also just got the same call. "Steve Martin" really??? with the heavy indian accent... They really think people are stupid or what but I guess some fall for it especially senior citizen.
I wish there was a way to report these. There is call back number. Why can't law enforcement call the number and try to prosecute?
