Unlike most of the other users here; they were not trying to scare me into paying them money. I received an email and a call stating that i was approve for a 2000 dollar loan with Cash Net USA. The first think i always check is the email address. I have yet to find a major company of any sorts that does not own their own domain. They would not use gmail for their email provider. But i continue to write them and love to get them all in a panic when i tell them i will pay the so called service fee...but instead of wiring the money i will drop it off at the Cash Net Store down the street.
Claimed there was an issue due to "US Treasury enforcement". Said to call back at 707-637-0192 to avoid unspecified penalties. Message was from Steve, or Guy Martin. Accent was too thick to understand the first name.
Got a message from Steve Martin said he was with the Treasury Dept. Wanted to tell me there was an arrest warrant for me. Sounded like he was calling from India so I am not really worried. Glad to see others had the same call.
This is a scam. Somebody with a very thick Indian accent left a message that I could not fully comprehend on my answering machine. I called the number back and the person asked me to make a payment "in cash" to avoid arrest and other charges. He got very angry when I asked him questions and hung up.
I called back the number multiple times from various phone extensions at work. I proceeded to give them false names and each time they gave me different amounts I owed. I gave one of the operators, Michael Daniel, an earful....He asked what I was going to do about it....He further asked me if I remembered 911. He said his next target is my house and then the Whitehouse!!! Something is wrong with these people!!! Not sure who I should call, but this needs to stop.
