My mum got a phone call from 707-706-0403 and the person said they were from Lap Tech Support. They wanted her to switch her computer on and go through a series of steps. I realised it sounded like a con and told her to hang up. How the bloody hell would they even know she had a computer?! Has anyone else received a call from this number? I'm reporting it to the Better Business Bureau.

My wife received the same call today except the caller said they where a computer tech with Microsoft, and that they received reports that a hacker was trying to break into our computer and wanted to walk my wife through a series of steps on the computer. The caller even provided my wife's email account.
