Got a call at 8am on a Saturday from this number, and the fellow said "sorry, wrong number" after I answered. He didn't ask for anyone. I figured he may have just mis-dialed, but now I see that this number is notorious for these calls, so I'm wondering what kind of game this could be.
Say, "sorry wrong number." When they didn't ask for anyone and I didn't identify myself. How can they know if it's a wrong number when they don't ask? Not 5 minutes later get a call from "UNKNOWN" with nobody there.

I just saw this post on another site, wihch may explain who was calling, for what it's worth:
"Like the others who recently posted, I, too, received a call this afternoon from Chris at Van Dale Communications claiming that I won a car from a raffle that I never participated in. He left the number: 866-312-9553 x109. However, on my caller ID, the number appears as 708-933-0534 with the name "Illinois".
Just like all things that sound too good to be true, this one surely smacks of being a scam. No intention of responding.Caller: Van Dale Communications
Call Type: Telemarketer
