It's annoying when people poke at others for misspelling or typos... I guess it makes them feel superior... but it's funny when they make mistakes on their post as well.
I agree, Alley Theatre is a great venue. They are a pain is the @$$ with their telemarketing but usually give up when I say I'm not interested. Some other telemarketers just keep talking so they get hung up on.
They call about twice a month, I usually don't answer because the last time I did the caller asked if I 'had a generous donation of $5,000 laying around' -- because yeah I keep 5k just laying around. I said 'no' and then he asked 'well how about a generous donation of $1,000". I said no again. Finally he asked if I would donate just '$50'. It seems like they just keep asking lower amounts until you agree.
The solution is just to not answer any call that shows "Name Not Found", like the Alley, on your Caller ID. Or to write a letter to the administration of the theater inviting them to check "800notes" to see just how annoying their telemarketing is, and to ask to be removed permanently from their caller list.
