Keep receiving collection calls.. Not sure how they got this information but we did have a payday loan and they did send us something to settle and I just received a call from our local clerk of courts stating they are going to serve us papers for a court date! But everything on the Internet states midway resolutions is a scam! I don't want to ignore it if it's not, like I said I don't know how they got the information if they are not legit! Butwhen I googled the address they gave me of their business on the email, it is the address of a UPS store in New York not midway resolutions! Help I'm not sure what to do
I had the same thing happen to me this week. It was a call from the local clerk of court saying I was going to be served. They had the same number as the county office on their website. I decided to call the clerk of court, (NOT the number that called me) but a different number I found on the state website. I talked to the lady for about 15 mins while she looked up the "Case number" the other lady gave me. She said it wasn't a real case number. She searched their database for my name and number and found nothing stating I was to be served, or had any legal action against me. It's just a neat trick they are using now. I recommend calling your local court office and having them search to make sure it's nothing real.
