good to know others are reporting this debt collection service which choses not to obey the fdcpa. i got a call friday from this number, asking for a person with a certain korean name. I truthfully told them I don't know anyone by that name and I've had this number (which has been a cellphone number for 2 years) for 5 years, and that for months I've been telling people who call under that subterfuge the same thing and not to call me again. The caller acknowledged being in debt collection (tho not the company name) and said they'd only had the account since november 3 and would not call back.
I'm not holding my breath, since the calls escalated after I reported some of my health insurance company's unethical practices to Virginia, the state that insurer insists is most favorable to them in not enforcing its laws and regulations (tho the insurer also boasts of its friends among "all regulators" state and federal and told me to check my policy's gag provisions while advertising both its "quality" and affiliation with United Healthcare and its big-data practices). Yup, I'm crazy enough to still refuse to pay a bill backed by altered electronic medical records, although my health insurer wins (as it says it always does) because I'm not getting treated for the medical condition it diagnosed soon after I subscribed (fyi it insists on its property right on keeping my diagnosis date as that of the first multi-party complaint letter, all hand-delivered and mailed copies of which my insurer says it never received)
Recieved a call from this unkown number and did not answer. They left a unintelligible message about needing to contact Mike Wilson 800-741-2100 X2415 if I am "interesting in resolving this issue." He never said where he was calling from. Might of been a wrong number, but I could not understand what he was saying other than that. Almost sounded like he was asking for "Bert", which is not my name, but I could not be sure.
Hopefully this is the only call I get. I suspect though that this will not be the case.
A Mr. Mosey called my daughter who was taking care of her husband whom just had a seizure. Her step daugher answered the phone and he wanted to speak to her dad. She told him he was having a seizure and can't come to the phone. He demanded she put him on the phone and she kept telling him he was having a seizure. They he told her if she didn't put him on the phone there would be consequences to pay and she hung up. She is 13 years old. My daughter doesn't have any money, she has 3 babies under 3 and husband lost his job due to seizures. Her utilities were threatened for shut off so she choose to have phone shut off to pay for the utilities. My sister lives across street incase she needs a phone. So now this guy is calling me and harrassing me. He wants me to give her messages and I tell him I only see her once a month if not longer. he said I better give her the message or he will take action towards me. I hung up and he called right back when I answered he call me by my daughters name and I said "I told you she don't live here" and he said "and I told you to give her a message". I got furious with him and told to blank off. So now he calls a couple times a day and I told him I would report him to the FCC and police if he didn't stop. He called again this morning. So I have no other choice but to report him. I gave the man a choice and he choose to be reported.
