I posted a wanted ad on craigslist and got a text from this number with a link to see pictures of what I was looking for. I stupidly downloaded a program to see the pics. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!! It is a malware that was somewhat difficult to remove.
same here, posted a CL ad and sold my item and removed the ad last night. well some 18 hours after dropping the ad, I get a text that reads "HI- we saw your Barter C.L. ad, how about this?" [photo-attach] (then the scam website, that I want list so no one clicks it) "hope that will work." so yeah a scam!! do not click the link if you are prepaid cell, text them back if you want, but if your cell is contract do not text back, as fees can be very high for texts like this.
