Just received this call--didn't answer. ID said VAILAB U. I've gotten at least 10 calls from VAILAB U under number 714-408-3719. I blocked that number after the 3rd call. They probably finally realized I'd blocked them, & are now trying with new number.
They call everyday on the Wally phone... so I said meet me at one of our rentals, we have 3 of them. Informed them it needed flooring, paint, drywall, need their license, insurance at time of meeting. The appointment was made for 18:00 to see the work I figured they would not be paying OT so the owner, estimator would come out. Called to confirm.. yep! Called again, traffic.. about 20 minutes away, yea, sorry.. it is bad. Irvine Lake is a nice poke coming from Fullerton. That takes them on 57, 91, 55 Chapman east.. @ 18:45 they called to see if it was the correct address, nobody @ home, no car and the rental sign did not have the same phone number on it. Yep.. but you have been PUNKED.. Did you enjoy the drive? He was PISSED.. said, well I am not done, this is going on a website where people post [***] like you. So you will never know when that next call is legit or not. Are we finished now?
The Wally Phone has a new number.
P.S. People the DNC list is a JOKE!! Stop wasting time about something that is a POC.. Instead, if these jerkoffs do not get the picture.. get creative.
Same spiel that everyone else has reported, except caller ID only revealed his phone number. (i.e., No company name.)
Tried to tell me he was following up on our conversation last year regarding renovations to my home.
Only caught my attention and made me a little more polite than I otherwise would have been, when he identified himself as "Jim(?) Jenkins," — because it sounded like one of the principals in the respectable but now defunct door and window company that had done a great job for us years ago. Also was honest when I told him we had just completed a major renovation and I was out of money.
What a mistake that was! It opened the door for him to start grilling me for details— especially about doors and windows we might have bought. After that, getting rid of him was harder than shaking off a leach . . . untilI finally just hung up on him.
You need to know that the Do Not Call list was designed for the control of LEGITIMATE telemarketers who respect the Do Not Call list and will not call you if you are on the list. However the telemarketing underbelly who appear to be annoying, lest than honest and/or deceptive, do not subscribe to the guidlines of the Do Not Call List. Unfortunately we are left to our own devices when it comes to dealing with these disrepectful yahoos. But you know, If you don't like how the Do Not Call list is working in this era of robocalls. Just contact the Federal Trade Commission for a refund.
Answered the phone just for the heck of it. The pushy caller claimed she had talked to us "last year." When pushed, she answer "January." Told her we never do business with anyone who harasses us over the phone. She ignored all questions but like a robot kept asking what project I wanted to get done and listed several projects. Finally, I got sick of talking to a moron and hung up. If anyone really stupid enough to do business with these people?
