Just got two calls from them, one after the other.
What happened to the do not call list?
I use my cell for emergencies and every now and then sell something online and call the person when I meet them in person ( phone number isn't involved online, e-mail is )
How are these people getting my number?
Like I said, what happened to the DO NOT CALL law?
They called today for a company that went out of business 4 years ago. I picked up the 800 number when they let it go. One thing that truly irks me is that they call the the toll free number to reach me. I hit 1 so I could talk to someone about the "Google listing" (I just needed to speak to someone about removing me from the call list) and reached Chris. He asked me my name, told him, and asked his name which seemed to set him off. Chris inquired if I was the owner and I responded yes and he hangs up. How do they make money that way?
I called back and asked them to take me off the list. We'll see what happens.
a recoding saying that it is important that the I do not hang up and business owner press 1 right away to update the information so Google can be sure to have our information listed correctly and customers can still find us. Really! They found us so I am sure our customers can find us too!
This company has called us every day for the past week. I have pressed 2 as they request to be removed from their list. I have pressed 1 and told the liver person to remove us from their list. They said we would be removed immediately yet the calls still keep coming. If this is their business ethics I surely do not want to do any business with them, I could only imagine how they would treat me.
