Just got two calls from them, one after the other.
What happened to the do not call list?
I use my cell for emergencies and every now and then sell something online and call the person when I meet them in person ( phone number isn't involved online, e-mail is )
How are these people getting my number?
Like I said, what happened to the DO NOT CALL law?
I received a phone call from them last week and this week. They called for a company that has been out of business for 4 years. The things that ticks me off about 714-294-5300 are they called my toll free number which is for customers and not for knuckleheads trying to sell me; I hit 1 to speak to someone and I told them to remove the toll free number they were calling because that company was out of business and they guy said ok and hung up without verifying that he had the number; AND they called again today after I was supposed to be removed last week. When I hit 1 to speak to someone again it goes to a fast busy and hangs up. I called them back and spoke with a gentleman and explained everything to him and he read back the number and told me it was removed, he just had to hit a button.
I told him how do I get a confirmation of this because I spoke to someone else. He tried explaining that it was probably another company selling the same thing. I told him I knew it was his company because I saw it on the call log for my toll free number that they called today and Tuesday in the afternoon. He was surprised and told me it was removed.
He was nice enough and I sure hope he follows through.
Don't hold your breath. They don't bother with adding you and they won't stop calling you. Don't engage them, it only verifies they've reached a working number.
I blocked the number when they called on 6/1/15. They keep calling (it rings once when they call, then disconnects them). Persistent *SSES aren't they? David above says they're "Loyal 9" - ??? Adding their name to my never ending list of companies to avoid like the plague.
They have called my firm numerous times, always DEMANDING to speak to the Business Owner. Apparently, the concept of businesses having Operations Management in place is a foreign concept to them. They are ALWAYS rude, demanding, and attempt to use intimidation techniques (similar to a bill collector technique) to coerce people into using their service to "update Google's listing".
It's a scam. I highly advise reporting to the FTC's Consumer Protection Bureau
